Sprint- Art Basel 2017

A couple of weeks back I was invited to attend the Basel House Mural Festival sponsored by Sprint, thanks to the South Florida Bloggers. At the event, we met the man of the hour Ruben Ubiera, the artist who painted the beautiful yellow mural pictured. According to Ubiera, “Connections” is about celebrating freedom, community, and connections. I absolutely love how the yellow color pops out at you.

At the event, they had a screen printing station where they were making Sprint goodie bags for us. We were able to see the whole process, which was really cool!

There was also a graffiti station where we got to make our own graffiti. I didn’t join, but I watched from the sidelines.

Sprint gave us goodie bags full of cool swag. One of the items was this really neat phone grip made of recycled wood from Hurricane Irma. It says Florida Strong and I love that!

Woah. Has it really been three months since the last time I was here? Well, I’d like to welcome myself back. And apologize for taking an unannounced hiatus! I mean, I don’t really have to since this is my blog and in the words of Loki “I do what I want”, but I still feel like I should apologize..so yeah that’s what I’m doing. I’m sorry I’ve been absent. *Phew*, I’m glad I got that off my chest.
While I was away, I did a couple of things that probably deserve to be mentioned: I attended three Geek Girl Brunch events (In one of them, I was part of a geek fashion panel at Florida Supercon!), I became incredibly obsessed with enamel pins (can’t wait to show you my collection, dear reader!), I started to wear my hair differently, and Pokemon Go made it’s debut. There’s a whole bunch of other stuff and I’ll be posting all about them in the next couple of days/weeks, so keep an eye out for them! ❤❤❤

Welcome to…British Beauty

Ever since this picture of Tom Hiddleston hit the web, the universe gasped and hyperventilated (I sure did).
In his new movie High Rise, Tom plays Robert Laing, a young doctor seduced by the “lifestyle in a high-rise, an isolated community, cut off from the rest of society in their luxury tower block.” Sounds pretty interesting and the trailer looks frakin’ GOOD.

A while back, I stumbled upon these two photoshopped images of Tom.
Tom as a ballerina. Tom as a mermaid. Yes, let that seep into your brain.

WHO DID THIS. No really, I want to know because this is amazing. It’s so silly and sexy and just brilliant! I laughed for hours and even got tears in my eyes. Also, you inspired me to make my own manipulation.

It was my cousin Sabrina who gave me the brilliant idea to photoshop Tom into *that* American Beauty rose petal scene. You know the one. (And if you have no idea what I’m talking about then I suggest you find a way to watch American Beauty with Kevin Spacey and Thora Birch.)

I present thee “British Beauty” (British Beauty because he’s British..get it? hah)
THHH
I spent a whole hour of my life doing this and I have no regrets.
If you’ve seen/made Tom Hiddleston manips of this certain pose, send them my way! There needs to be more!!

High Rise comes out on May 13.

I can’t believe I just dedicated a post to Tom Hiddleston’s nearly naked body. But well, it’s Tom Hiddleston..so duh.
